SABUNGANAY (puso ng saging) IN A WRAP

About my Recipe:
Sabunganay (puso ng saging) is a common for Filipino vegetables.It can cook as adobo,you also put it on sinigang,in monggo and so much more.But did you know that sabunganay (puso ng saging) can make as substitute for main vegetables recipe in original lumpia.....???Yes!!!absolutely yes it can be a LUMPIA.I try it 5 times.And I proved it. It can be !!!!!!!!.It's easy to prepare and less hassle and it's more cheaper than the original lumpia....Try it!!!!!To believe!!!!
And for you to try here are the ingredients and procedures in making sabunganay in a wrap!!!!
INGREDIENTS:
*1-2 sabunganay(puso ng saging)
*5-7 pcs. carrots (cut into cubes)
* one fourth kilo of ground pork/beef
* wrap
*onion and garlic (minced)
* black pepper (optional)
*magis sarap or seasonings (optional)
*1 egg
* cooking oil
DIPPER:
*Artem(combination of vinegar,chili,garlic and salt)
*garlic
*salt
*black pepper(optional)
*vinegar
*chili
PROCEDURE:
Prepare a clean small bowl for the vinegar for at least half cup.Then put the garlic,chili,and small part of salt.You can also put black pepper if desire....that's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOTE:
*Ingredients can be changed upon volume you want to cook.
*The ingredients I prepared is for 10-12 persons only.
*You can use catsup for your dipper.
PROCEDURE:
For Sabunganay in a wrap!
First clean the sabunganay.Removed the 'match like' in every part of it.Remove also the 'magulang na balat ng sabunganay'.After this,it will became small then chopped it into small pieces.After chopping please set aside.Then peel the carrots then cut it into cubes.Set aside.Followed by the garlic and onion minced.After chopping all the ingredients,boiled the ground pork for atleast 5-10 mins.While boiling,"lamasin" the sabunganay in a clean bowl w/ salt to remove the "dagta".Put the sabunaganay in the clean bowl.After boiling set aside.Then begin mixing all the ingredients.Put the Sabunganay in mixing bowl together with carrot,garlic,onion, and ground pork.Then mix with the use of wooden laddel.You can also put black pepper if desire.Black pepper give a spicy taste of your sabunganay in a wrap.After mixing prepare for wrapping.In wrapping use only one spoon for equal size of lumpia.And beat the egg and begin wrapping.Use plate for warpping it serve as liner or "patungan".
How to wrap???
Heres the procedures:
Put one spoon mixture in a wrap then fold the upper side of wrap where you put the mixture fold covering the mixture (not totally covering the mixture)then put the left and rigth side of the wrap(its fold to prevent leaking of mixture while frying)then roll it gently.Then put a small amount of egg in the end of the wrap it serve as a paste of the wrap to avoid leaking of mixture.Set asside.Repeat again the procedure.
After wrapping prepare the frying pan for cooking(frying)be sure that the cooking oil is hot before you fry to avoid "pagdikit ng wrap sa kawali"it will break the wrap.Put atleast 5-7 pieces of lumpia or maybe depends upon the size of frying pan.You can also fry it as deep frying method.After frying "patiktikin"to remove the excess oil then put it in a clean plate.Garnish if desire.Serve it not to hot. You can make 20-30 pieces of lumpia.
